We understand that buying credits is an investment in your business, and this Refund Policy is designed to protect that investment with clear, fair, and transparent terms. Please read this policy carefully so you understand your rights before making a purchase.

1. Our Approach to Refunds

We take a layered approach to refunds that balances customer protection with business sustainability. Every new purchase comes with a 48-hour satisfaction guarantee that lets you test our service risk-free. Beyond that initial window, we offer a 14-day pro-rated refund for customers who have used only a small portion of their credits. And at the verification level, we automatically refund credits for any email that returns an "unknown" result, meaning you never pay for a verification we couldn't complete. This three-layer structure ensures that you are protected whether your concern is about service quality, unexpected circumstances, or individual verification accuracy.

2. The 48-Hour Satisfaction Guarantee

Every new credit purchase — whether Pay-As-You-Go or your first monthly subscription — comes with a 48-hour satisfaction guarantee. This guarantee is straightforward: if you purchase credits, test our service, and find that it does not meet your expectations within the first 48 hours, and you have used less than 5% of the credits in that purchase, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price to your original payment method.

The 48-hour window begins at the moment the purchase is confirmed and your credits are added to your account. The 5% usage threshold exists to ensure the guarantee is used for genuine evaluation rather than to obtain free verification services. For example, if you purchase a package of 10,000 credits, you may use up to 500 of those credits and still qualify for a full refund within the 48-hour window. If you have used 501 or more credits, the 48-hour full refund is no longer available, but you may still qualify for a pro-rated refund under the 14-day policy described below.

3. The 14-Day Pro-Rated Refund

From day 3 through day 14 after your purchase, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund if you have used less than 20% of the credits from that purchase. The pro-rated refund ensures that you only pay for the verification services you actually received — nothing more.

The calculation is simple and transparent. We determine the percentage of credits you have used from your total purchase (including any bonus credits that were part of your package), and we refund the remaining percentage of your original payment. For example, if you purchased a credit package for $65 that included 52,500 total credits and you used 7,500 of those credits, you have consumed approximately 14.3% of your total allocation. Your refund would be 85.7% of your original $65 payment, which equals $55.70. You pay only for the value you received, and the rest is returned to you.

Once more than 20% of the credits from a purchase have been consumed, or once 14 days have passed since the purchase date — whichever comes first — monetary refunds for that purchase are no longer available. At that point, the service has been substantially utilized, and the transaction is considered final. This threshold is consistent with industry standards for digital service providers and ensures that our refund policy cannot be exploited while still providing meaningful protection for customers who genuinely need it.

4. Automatic Credit Refunds for Unknown Results

Regardless of whether you qualify for a monetary refund, ValidEmailChecker automatically refunds credits for any email verification that returns an "unknown" status. An unknown result occurs when our system cannot make a definitive determination about an email address — typically because the destination mail server was temporarily unavailable, anti-spam defenses blocked the verification attempt, or a timeout occurred during the verification process.

When this happens, the credit that was deducted for that verification is automatically returned to your account. You are never charged for a verification we could not complete. There is no action required on your part — the refund happens automatically and immediately. We recommend retrying unknown results at a later time, as the temporary conditions that caused the unknown status may have resolved, allowing us to return a definitive result on the second attempt.

5. Credit Types and Refund Eligibility

Not all credits in your account are treated equally when it comes to monetary refunds, because different credit types are acquired in different ways.

5.1 Pay-As-You-Go Credits

Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) credits are purchased directly through one-time transactions and represent your primary investment. These credits follow the standard refund terms described above: they are eligible for the 48-hour full refund (if less than 5% used) and the 14-day pro-rated refund (if less than 20% used). Because PAYG credits never expire, there is no urgency to use them — you can hold them indefinitely and use them whenever you need to.

5.2 Monthly Subscription Credits

Monthly subscription credits are allocated as part of your recurring subscription plan. During your first billing period, if you cancel within 14 days and have used less than 20% of your monthly allocation, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund of that first month's subscription charge. Once your subscription renews for a second billing cycle, all subsequent monthly charges are non-refundable, as the renewal indicates continued satisfaction with the service. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges, and you will retain access to your remaining credits until the end of your current billing period.

5.3 Rollover Credits

Rollover credits are unused monthly subscription credits that are automatically carried forward to the next billing period as a courtesy benefit. Because these credits were part of a previous billing cycle that has already been completed, they are never eligible for monetary refunds. Rollover credits expire 30 days after they are created.

6. Auto-Refill Purchases

Credits purchased through the Auto-Refill feature are non-refundable. Auto-Refill is an opt-in convenience feature designed for users who need uninterrupted access to email verification and want to avoid manual repurchasing. Because Auto-Refill purchases are triggered automatically based on settings you configure — including the credit threshold, the package to purchase, and the monthly refill limit — they are considered intentional, immediate-use transactions.

Before you enable Auto-Refill, our interface clearly communicates that purchases made through this feature are non-refundable and requires your explicit consent. If you are uncertain about your ongoing credit needs or are still evaluating the service, we recommend using manual purchases until you have established a predictable usage pattern and are confident in the service quality.

7. Bulk and Enterprise Orders

Purchases exceeding 100,000 credits are classified as bulk orders and are subject to modified refund terms that reflect the significant volume discounts provided and the immediate resource allocation required to support large-scale verification.

For bulk orders, a full refund is available only within the first 24 hours and only if no credits have been used. Between 24 and 48 hours after purchase, a pro-rated refund is available if less than 2% of the purchased credits have been consumed. After 48 hours, or once 2% or more of the credits have been used, bulk orders become non-refundable.

These tighter terms allow us to maintain competitive pricing on high-volume packages while protecting against potential abuse of volume discounts. 8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact our support team at support@validemailchecker.com with the following information: the email address associated with your ValidEmailChecker account and the date of the purchase you are requesting a refund for. Including your order number or transaction ID will help us locate your purchase faster, but it is not required.

We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 24 to 48 hours of receipt. Once a refund is approved, it will be processed within 5 to 10 business days. Refunds are always issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Depending on your bank or credit card provider, the refund may take additional time to appear on your statement — this processing time is outside our control, but typically does not exceed an additional 5 to 10 business days.

While not required, we genuinely appreciate feedback about what did not meet your expectations. Understanding your experience helps us improve the service for everyone.

9. Exceptional Circumstances

We recognize that situations arise that fall outside the standard terms described above. If you experience a technical failure on our end that prevented you from using the service as intended, if a significant service outage affected your verification tasks, or if an accidental duplicate purchase was made, these circumstances may qualify for a refund outside the normal policy windows. 10. Chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, credit card company, or payment provider, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly. The vast majority of billing concerns can be resolved quickly and fairly through direct communication, and we are committed to finding a solution that works for both parties.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us to attempt resolution may result in the immediate suspension of your account and the inability to use our services in the future. This protective measure exists because chargebacks incur significant administrative costs and payment processing fees that affect our ability to maintain competitive pricing for all customers. If you have a legitimate dispute that we cannot resolve through direct communication, we respect your right to pursue the matter through your financial institution — but we ask that you give us the opportunity to make it right first.

11. Cryptocurrency Payment Refunds

For purchases made using cryptocurrency through CoinPayments, refunds are subject to additional considerations due to the nature of blockchain transactions. If a cryptocurrency purchase qualifies for a refund under the terms described above, the refund will be issued in the equivalent USD value at the time of the original transaction, either back to the originating cryptocurrency wallet or via an alternative method agreed upon between you and our support team. Due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions and the volatility of cryptocurrency values, processing times for crypto refunds may be longer than for card-based refunds.

Standard PAYG purchases: Full refund within 48 hours if less than 5% of credits used. Pro-rated refund from day 3 through day 14 if less than 20% of credits used. No refund after 14 days or once 20% or more of credits have been consumed.

First monthly subscription: Pro-rated refund if cancelled within 14 days and less than 20% of monthly credits used. No refund once the subscription renews for a second month.

Rollover credits: Not eligible for monetary refunds.

Auto-Refill purchases: Non-refundable.

Bulk orders (100,000+ credits): Full refund within 24 hours if no credits used. Pro-rated refund from 24 to 48 hours if less than 2% used. Non-refundable after 48 hours or once 2% or more used.

Unknown verification results: Credits automatically refunded regardless of purchase type or time elapsed.

13. Changes to This Policy
