How to Connect Constant Contact
No API keys. Just log in and authorize. The whole process takes under a minute.
Start the Connection
Go to Integrations in your sidebar or click Connect Email Platform from the Bulk Upload page. Find Constant Contact and click it. Enter an optional connection name — helpful if you manage multiple accounts.
Authorize with Constant Contact
Click Connect to Constant Contact and you will be redirected to Constant Contact's secure login page. Sign in with your username and password, Google account, or Facebook account. Click Allow to grant ValidEmailChecker permission to access your contact lists.
What we access: We only read your contact lists for verification and optionally update contact statuses if you choose automatic cleaning. We never send emails, access your campaigns, or modify account settings.
Select a List and Configure
After authorizing, click Sync Now to see all your Constant Contact lists with contact counts. Select the list you want to verify, choose Verify Only or Clean Automatically, and configure your cleaning preferences.
Important: If you remove a contact from a list using automatic cleaning, they will also be removed from any segments based on that list. Start with "Verify Only" first.
Track Results in Real Time
Click Import List and you will be redirected to Uploads & Results. Progress updates automatically. When complete, you get a full breakdown. If you chose automatic cleaning, changes are already applied to your Constant Contact lists.

Troubleshooting
Connection Failed
Make sure pop-ups are not blocked in your browser. Try a different browser, clear cache and cookies, or ensure you are logged out of Constant Contact before trying again.
Lists Not Showing
Click the refresh icon to reload lists. Ensure your lists have at least one contact and your Constant Contact account is in good standing. Disconnect and reconnect if the issue persists.
Verification Shows "Failed"
Check your ValidEmailChecker credit balance. Ensure your Constant Contact connection is still active. Try verifying a smaller list first. Contact support if the problem continues.
Authorization Expired
OAuth tokens can expire. Delete the existing connection and reconnect using the same process to get a fresh access token.

Only if you use automatic cleaning. "Verify Only" mode just checks your emails — it does not change anything in Constant Contact. Your campaigns, automations, and settings remain untouched.
Currently, you verify one list at a time. This gives you more control and lets you apply different cleaning rules to different lists. You can verify multiple lists back-to-back without reconnecting.
No. Unsubscribing or deleting contacts through ValidEmailChecker does not send any emails to those contacts. The changes happen silently in your Constant Contact account.
Segments are based on your lists. If you remove a contact from a list using automatic cleaning, they will also be removed from any segments based on that list. This is why we recommend reviewing results with "Verify Only" first.
No. Removed or unsubscribed contacts cannot be restored through ValidEmailChecker. You would need to re-add them manually in Constant Contact. This is why we strongly recommend starting with "Verify Only" mode.
No. Connecting and syncing your account is completely free. You only use credits when you actually verify emails — 1 credit per email, same as every other verification method.
