How to Connect Moosend
Grab your API key, paste it in, and you are connected. The whole process takes under a minute.
Find Your API Key
Log in to Moosend, click More in the top navigation, then select Settings. In the left sidebar, click API Key. Your key is displayed under "Your API key" — click Copy to grab it.
Keep it safe: Your Moosend API key has full account access. Never share it publicly. If compromised, click "Generate new API Key" in Moosend immediately.
Connect Your Account
In ValidEmailChecker, go to Integrations in your sidebar or click Connect Email Platform from the Bulk Upload page. Find Moosend and click it. Enter an optional connection name, paste your API key, and click Connect Account. We verify your key instantly and pull in your mailing lists.
Select a List and Configure
Once connected, you will see all your Moosend mailing lists with subscriber counts. Select the list you want to verify, then choose Verify Only to review results without changes, or Clean Automatically to remove invalid and disposable emails directly from Moosend. You control what happens to each email type — unsubscribe, delete, or keep.
Important: Deleting contacts is permanent and cannot be undone. If you are unsure, start with "Unsubscribe" instead — it stops emails without losing contact data.
Track Results in Real Time
Click Import List and you will be redirected to Uploads & Results. Progress updates automatically — no refreshing needed. When complete, you get a full breakdown of safe, invalid, risky, disposable, catch-all, and more. If you chose automatic cleaning, changes are already applied to your Moosend list.

Unsubscribe vs Delete
Subscriber Count Differences
Moosend's total count may include unsubscribed or bounced contacts. ValidEmailChecker imports only verifiable email addresses, so the count may differ slightly. This is normal.
API Key Security
Your Moosend API key has full account access. If you suspect it has been compromised, generate a new one immediately in Moosend under More → Settings → API Key, then reconnect.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid API Key" Error
Make sure you copied the full API key from Moosend — it is a long string. Check for extra spaces before or after the key. If the key was recently regenerated, the old one no longer works. Go to More → Settings → API Key and copy the current key.
No Lists Appearing
Your Moosend account may not have any mailing lists yet. Log in to Moosend, create at least one mailing list with subscribers, then return to ValidEmailChecker and click Sync Now.
"Connection Failed" Error
This is usually a temporary network issue or Moosend API downtime. Wait a few minutes and try again. Check Moosend's status page for any ongoing issues and verify your API key is still valid.
Changes Not Reflecting in Moosend
There may be a short delay in syncing changes back to Moosend. Wait a few minutes, refresh your Moosend dashboard, and ensure you selected "Clean list automatically" — not "Verify only."
Subscriber Count Mismatch
Moosend shows total contacts including unsubscribed or bounced entries. ValidEmailChecker imports only verifiable email addresses. The difference is usually unsubscribed contacts or system entries — this is expected.

Technically yes, but we recommend against it. For best results, pause any active campaigns, run the verification, review and apply changes, then resume campaigns with your cleaned list.
It depends on the action. Unsubscribe keeps all contact data including custom fields — it just changes subscription status. Delete permanently removes the entire contact record including all custom fields.
Currently, you verify one list at a time. This gives you more control and lets you apply different cleaning rules to different lists. You can verify multiple lists back-to-back without reconnecting.
No. Unsubscribing or deleting contacts through ValidEmailChecker does not send any emails to those contacts. The changes happen silently in your Moosend account.
No. Connecting and syncing your account is completely free. You only use credits when you actually verify emails — 1 credit per email, same as every other verification method.
