How we handle your data, refunds, and compliance.
- Acceptable Use PolicyRules and guidelines for using Valid Email Checker. Permitted uses, prohibited activities (spam, illegal activity, service abuse), user responsibilities for consent and compliance, API guidelines, enforcement.
- Can I request earlier deletion of my verification data?Yes. You can delete a specific verification task immediately from Uploads & Results, wipe individual rows from the results view, or contact support to purge all verification data for your account ahead of the normal 15-day cleanup.
- Data & Privacy PolicyHow Valid Email Checker handles your data: 15-day auto-deletion of uploaded lists, encrypted storage, no data resale, no AI training on customer data, full third-party processor disclosure (Supabase, Stripe, Paddle, CoinPayments).
- Do you store the emails I verify?Verification results are stored in your account so you can review history and export them. The lists themselves are automatically deleted after 15 days. We never send mail to your contacts, and we never sell or share your data.
- How do I download all my data (data export) from Valid Email Checker? Two paths: per-run CSV export from Uploads & Results gets you verification data quickly, and a full account export (account profile, login history, Credits History, integrations metadata) is available on request from support. Both are GDPR-aligned and free.
- How do I file a GDPR data subject request with Valid Email Checker?Email support@validemailchecker.com from your account address with the request type (access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction). We confirm identity, then complete the request within the GDPR-mandated 30 days. Most are done in under a week.
- How does the VEC GDPR cleanup job actually work?A scheduled edge function runs the cleanup nightly. It calls a stored procedure that deletes verification rows past the retention window, then removes the matching source files from object storage in batches, and writes the run to a cleanup audit log.
- How long does Valid Email Checker keep my verified email results?Uploaded lists and per-address verification results auto-delete after 15 days by default. Aggregate counts, credit history, and team audit rows stay for billing and compliance. The 15-day window is configurable in system settings.
- How long does VEC keep login attempt logs?Login history rows are kept for the lifetime of your account so your security tab can show the full timeline. They are purged on account deletion. Enterprise customers can request a rolling-window policy (e.g. 90 days) instead.
- How we protect your dataHow Valid Email Checker handles your email lists — TLS in transit, encryption at rest, 15-day automatic deletion, no emails ever sent to your contacts, 2FA, session management. The full security and privacy picture.
- Refund PolicyPaid credits are non-refundable by default — but the 200 free credits at signup let you evaluate first. Automatic refunds apply for Unknown verifications. Paddle purchases follow regional consumer-protection law. Crypto purchases are non-refundable.
- What data does Valid Email Checker store about my login attempts?VEC logs each login (success or failure) with IP, geolocation (city, country), user agent, device fingerprint, auth method, and whether 2FA was passed. This powers the suspicious-login alerts in your security settings.
- What data is shared with integration platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.)?When you sync a list to Mailchimp, HubSpot, Brevo, or any other integration, VEC sends only the email addresses you chose to sync and the action you picked (keep, unsubscribe, delete). Your VEC account, billing, and other lists stay private.
- What data is shared with payment processors (Stripe, Paddle, CoinPayments)?Only what is needed to charge you: the purchase amount, your billing email, and the card or wallet details you enter directly into the processor. VEC never sees your full card number. Stripe and Paddle handle PCI scope, CoinPayments handles the crypto wallet flow.
- Where are Valid Email Checker's servers located? (data residency)VEC runs on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS. The primary region serves North American and global traffic; an EU region is available for enterprise contracts that require GDPR data residency in the EU. Edge functions run on Cloudflare for low latency worldwide.
