Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) integration: API key auth, lists and contacts

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) uses API-key authentication via their v3 API. Standard connect flow, standard defaults.

Where to find your Brevo API key

1. Sign into Brevo.
2. Open SMTP & API → API Keys in the Brevo sidebar (or via your account avatar → SMTP & API).
3. Click Generate a new API key.
4. Name it (e.g., "Valid Email Checker") and create.
5. Copy the v3 key — it starts with xkeysib-.

Connecting Brevo

1. In our dashboard, go to Bulk Upload → Connect Email Platform → Brevo.
2. Paste the v3 API key.
3. Optionally name the connection.
4. Click Save Connection.

What you can verify

• Contact lists — manually managed lists.
• Contacts with specific attributes — filter by Brevo contact attributes.

Common Brevo issues

"v3 API key not authenticating"

Make sure you copied the v3 key (starts with xkeysib-), not the legacy v2 key. Brevo still surfaces both for backwards compatibility, but our integration only works with v3.
