Managing your subscription: plan, usage, and renewal date

Last updated May 19, 2026Subscriptions & billing

Your subscription dashboard is the one-page view of your current plan, usage so far this cycle, and next renewal. Every plan change starts here.

Getting there

  1. Click Account Settings in the sidebar.
  2. Select Billing & Payments.
  3. The Subscription tab is open by default.

What the page shows

Current plan

The main card lays out your active subscription:

FieldDescription
StatusActive (green badge), Ending Soon (cancelled but in grace period), or Expired
Monthly CreditsCredits included with this plan each cycle
Monthly PriceWhat you pay per billing cycle
Next Billing DateWhen the subscription renews and a fresh allocation drops in

Available balance

Your current total with a per-bucket breakdown. Two buckets:

  • Monthly — credits from your subscription, use within the billing cycle.
  • PAYG — one-time purchases plus your free signup credits, never expire.

See the credit system explained for consumption order and refund routing.

Usage this period

A progress bar plus three numbers: credits used, credits remaining, percentage of the allocation consumed. Useful for spotting whether the current plan size is right for you — if the bar is full halfway through every cycle, time to upgrade. If it never gets above 30%, time to consider downgrading.

Available actions

Change plan

Click Change Plan to upgrade or downgrade:

Cancel subscription

Click Cancel Subscription to stop the plan. You keep full access until the current billing period ends — no immediate cutoff. See cancel subscription.

  • Add a new card
  • Set the default
  • Remove cards you no longer use

Credit usage

Detailed usage stats and trends over time. Useful for "is my plan the right size?" analysis.

How the billing cycle works

Your subscription runs on a 30-day billing cycle from the subscription start date (or last renewal).

Example timeline:

DateWhat happens
Jan 2You subscribe to the 10,500-credit plan; Monthly bucket = 10,500
Jan 2 – Feb 1You use credits as you go — Monthly first, PAYG only if Monthly runs out
Feb 2Renewal: Monthly bucket reset to a fresh 10,500, card charged for the next cycle

Unused monthly credits don't carry over — they're use-it-or-lose-it within the cycle. If you have unused credits you want to preserve, top up with PAYG instead of relying on the subscription — PAYG credits never expire.

Subscription statuses

StatusMeaning
ActiveSubscription running normally — renews automatically
Ending SoonCancellation scheduled — full access continues until period end, then it expires
ExpiredSubscription ended, monthly bucket is now zero

If you see Ending Soon, you can still reactivate before the period ends. See cancel subscription.

Pending changes

If you have scheduled a downgrade, the subscription page shows a banner with the new plan and the date it takes effect. You can cancel the scheduled downgrade from that banner anytime before the renewal date.
